Realistic 2D portrait of an adult giraffe and calf, felted onto a tote bag. You will also learn how secure the image and finish the bag so that it can be used for light use*.
Important: Providing all steps of the tutorial are followed accurately and the image is well felted, the tote bag is finished in a way that means it can be used for light use. Heavy use should be avoided.

Felting methods used for project:
2D NEEDLE FELTING
You will learn:
How to ‘paint with wool’
How to accurately transfer an image from a template onto your fabric
How to layer and blend fibres to build up your image to create a realistic 2D portrait
How to use embroidery for the giraffes' manes to enhance your portrait
How to finish the bag for light use; including adding a lining for a professional finish
*some very basic sewing is also needed.

***Due to the tote bags being made with 100% recycled cotton, there may be some natural ‘imperfection's’ in the fabric. The fabric also has a unique scent - this should fade over time. Warning: washing the bags may cause the fabric to shrink!
